sick and sick and David Archuleta
i don’t get sick too often, and i rarely go to the doctor, but i guess this time was one of those rare times. People get sentimental when they are sick, at least i think…so i think i am getting sentimental. This morning, i was searching for some new songs that will touch my sentimental heart haha, and i fell in love with one of the American Idols contestants, David Archuleta. Actually, i knew about him before i was sick, and i love his voice, but it didn’t really hit me. Yet, today, while i was listening to the American Idols contestants i realized how pretty David’s voice is.
Some compare him to Clay Aiken, but i think they are quite different. Clay Aiken has more power in his voice, i can feel that his voice is coming from his stomach haha, but Archuleta’s voice is a bit more softer, silkier. Maybe he lacks a bit of power because i keep on hear him being shaky. I’m not an expert so i can’t really say anything but i think vocal: Clay Aiken/ voice: David Archuleta, maybe it’s because he’s so young. I mean he’s only 17! However, the bottom line is that i like Archuleta.
While i was listening to his songs i ran into this song called “The Long and Winding Road” and it is just adorable. It is actually a Beatles song that he sang since the theme of the competition the was The Beatles. Of course, i cannot dare compare his performance to the Beatles, but i think he was special in his own way. His voice is really really pure and it just melts people!
here is his amazing performance
I really agree with Paula Abdul’s comment here.
I read some of the comments of American Idol, and some were saying that it is turning into cute guy contest. well, i do realize the David had a baby-like cuteness, and that it does not hurt his popularity, but i still think it is his voice that really moves the people
and here is the original version
the two are definitely different, but i can say for sure that both are beautiful
